Thanks for visiting our home…if you did, that is. You see, sometimes, well actually MOST of the time, you don’t leave your business card to let us know you did. Is it because you forgot even though there is a sign to remind you? Or is it that you are too cheap to leave a business card that probably cost you only a few cents to get printed? Or is it because you think we will call you and hound you asking whether or not your client was interested in our home? (Which we promise we would never do…I mean, you guys never answer your cell phones anyways, right? Especially when our agent is calling you to find out if you even showed up at our house, because you did not leave your business card.)
And if you are running late or decided not to show up, please have the decency to call and let us or our agent know. Don’t show up at our house and ring our doorbell - especially when my son is napping. Please call our agent to reschedule or give us a heads up that you are running late.
Based on your behavior, I’m assuming you have never personally had to sell your own home while living in it with two young kids. Or you would understand how frustrating it is to straighten up your home with a little tornado following close behind, only to find out that all was in vain because you decided not to show up.
We feel like you don’t really care though - ofcourse, why should you? It is a buyer’s market and we have so much competition out there right now, if you upset us, who cares, right? There are a million and one other homes you can look at in the area. But please for the sake of simple courtesy, will you treat us with some respect?
Respectfully yours,
Disgruntled Seller
P.S. This is in no way directed to ALL the agents who have scheduled viewings of our home. We have had some agents who were kind and decent enough to leave their business cards or call to cancel/reschedule. Maybe we should send you their contact information to get some lessons on common courtesy? Please let me know and I’ll see what I can do.
